about the method
Do you know that the word or cannot connect between clauses?
Or that the present simple tense can never be used together with any indications of time?
Have you ever heard that after the expression so that only verbs will, may, can or could can be used?
There are more than 500 grammatical, logical and stylistic rules that are checked in the GMAT Sentence Correction questions.
Irene's method is based on comprehensive study of all relevant rules. Irene's approach is technical and rather mathematical. Such an approach not only enables students to deal with difficult level SC questions but also saves plenty of the students' precious time.
The GMAT Sentence Correction Guide provides students with detailed explanations of the material.
The SC rules taught during the course also help international students improve their English and navigate more easily through their studies in the USA.
It also contains more than 400 SC questions with detailed explanations.
Students are also provided with charts and summaries of the material which help them memorize and master the SC rules and methods.
Though one can easily manage with easier RC passages, such as the ones found in the GMAT Official Guide, just by reading and trying to understand the whole passage, such a method becomes not very effective when students reach higher level questions. The higher level RC passages are extremely long and intensively packed with information and difficult vocabulary. By analyzing thousands of the GMAT passages and questions, Irene has developed an effective and unique method that improves students' performance and timing.
Irene's method for the CR questions is based on types of questions and different technical approaches based on these types.
Analytical Writing Assessment
Most GMAT books provide students with AWA templates, however students find it difficult to fit their ideas into such templates. This is because different AWA topics address different types of reasoning that are difficult to fit into one unified template. Irene teaches AWA according to types of assessment and provides students with different templates based on these types.
Strategies and Tactics
To reach a high GMAT score, it is not enough to know the material. It is also important to understand the character of the computer adaptive test and deal with the problems of timing and fatigue. Irene's approach to the test can bring immediate improvement in a student's performance.
